AMSTERDAM STUDENT RUGBY CLUB ASCRUM IS LOOKING FOR NEW ADDITIONS TO OUR TECHNICAL STAFF
Amsterdam student rugby club Ascrum is looking for a new director of rugby/head coach. Ascrum is one of The Netherlands’ oldest student clubs, with 3 senior teams, a veteran’s team and over 60 active players. Ascrum’s 1st team just became undefeated champions in the second to highest division and will play the promotion game to the Ereklasse. With Ascrum’s 2nd and 3rd team playing in the third and fourth divisions, respectively.
Primary tasks will include training on Tuesday and Thursday and coaching on gamedays. Important to note is that while the main focus would be on the 1st team, we are looking for someone who is willing to take on a club-wide responsibility in creating a game plan and structure that can be implemented across all teams, working coherently with additional training and support staff. We aim to uphold a broad and dynamic selection in which there is room for maneuverability between teams depending on individual progression and squad requirements.

Amsterdam Student Rugby Club ASCRUM is looking for a new 2XV / Development Coach. ASCRUM is one of the oldest student rugby clubs in the Netherlands, with three senior teams, a veterans team, and over 60 active players. Our first team competes in the second-highest national division, while the second and third teams play in the third and fourth divisions respectively. The second team has the clear ambition to promote to the second division.
The primary responsibilities will include coaching on match days (Sundays). Availability for Thursday evening training sessions is highly desirable. While the main focus will be on the second team, ASCRUM prides itself on being a unified club. Training sessions are therefore often conducted jointly with the first, second, and third teams. In line with this unified approach, all teams aim to play according to the same game plan. As such, the 2XV coach is expected to follow the club’s tactical framework and work closely with the first team staff to ensure alignment across all squads
