AA

Want to join as an alumnus (AA)?

Eventually, the knees go. Then the back. The liver holds out surprisingly well, but even that will eventually refuse to get up early for an away game in the pouring rain. Everyone stops playing eventually. But you never have to stop being part of Ascrum.

BECOMING AN ALUMNUS AT ASCRUM (AA)

First, a word from Honorary Member Richel

Richel has carried the AA for years. Often on his own, usually in the rain, and always Van IJzer. Anyone who knows him even a little knows that he doesn't just recommend anything. So if he thinks it’s time for you to rejoin, you'd better just do it.

The club never really lets you go, he always says. And he's right. Now he's passing on the torch, though he never actually wanted to let go of it.

Why become an alumnus?

One day, the knees go. Then the back. The liver holds up surprisingly well, but even that eventually refuses to get up early for an away game in the pouring rain. Everyone stops playing eventually. But you don't have to stop being part of Ascrum.

As an alumnus, you stay involved without having to hit the rucks. You'll be on the sidelines cheering on the Jonghe Honden, you're always welcome at the bar, and you'll be right back in the loop during the third half. You pay a reasonable fee and get the drinks, the matches, and the stories in return. No more collapsing scrums to worry about.

All the best parts of membership, with none of the injuries.

The Alumni Board

The AA is led by our captains:

Av. Dawood and Av. Hogen-Esch

You can sign up with them, or simply send an email to our Ab Actis.

Sign up, pay your fee, and stay part of the club.
