AMSTERDAM STUDENT RUGBY CLUB ASCRUM IS LOOKING FOR A NEW DIRECTOR OF RUGBY
Ascrum is one of The Netherlands’ oldest student clubs, with 3 senior teams, a veteran’s team and over 60 active players. Ascrum’s 1st team competes in the second highest national division, with Ascrum’s 2nd and 3rd team playing in the third and fourth divisions, respectively.
Primary tasks will include training on Tuesday and Thursday and coaching on gamedays. Important to note is that while the main focus would be on the 1st team, we are looking for someone who is willing to take on a club-wide responsibility in creating a game plan and structure that can be implemented across all teams, working coherently with additional training and support staff. We aim to uphold a broad and dynamic selection in which there is room for manoeuvrability between teams depending on individual progression and squad requirements.

- Understands and fits within the unique culture of our student club
- Has prior coaching experience on an adequate level
- Brings broad technical rugby knowledge that enhances our play
- Is able to identify our strengths and weaknesses and act on them
- Is able to guide and collaborate with the rest of the training staff
- Is able to set up preseason 25/26, starting from July/August 2025
